
BEIJING, 21 Feb - Comments from Emilie Heymans (CAN) and Marie-Eve Marleau (CAN) after the women's synchronised 10m platform finals at the National Aquatics Center.

On competition:
Heymans:
"The Chinese are very strong competitors. They put up a good challenge for us."
Marleau:
"They are really good at maintaining their identical timing."
On any mistakes:
Heymans:
"We really didn't make a lot of mistakes. We made a few here and there, but overall we did very well."
Marleau:
"I feel that there were some that did better than us, but we came out on top in the end."
On 5253 dive:
Heymans:
"Every dive is a challenge. The 5253 was actually kind of easy for us tonight."
On how they met:
Marleau:
"We met last year at the Pan American Games. Our coach thought it would be a good idea to put us together, due to our motivation and dedication to the sport."
Emilie Heymans (CAN)
On their overall perfomance:
"We did pretty well both in the morning and in the aftemoon. We were pretty consistent throughout the competition."
On preparing for the Olympics:
"I think we aim to do pretty much what we did today, dive well and hopefully get a medal."
On execution:
"I think every dive is a challenge. There is no easy dive, but we did them all well today and that is why we won a medal."
Marie-Eve Marleau (CAN)
On their performance:
"It was a great day for us. We dived well in the morning and were consistent or dived even better in the evening. I'm happy with the ending."
On earning a medal:
"We are both very happy that we were able to earn a medal in the finals."
On the facility and the pool:
"The pool is very impressive. It is very unique, I must say that I really do like it."
