(Beijing, 21 Feb.) - Comments from He Chong (CHN), Qin Kai (CHN) and Constantin Blaha (AUT) after the Men's 3m springboard semifinals at the National Aquatics Center.
He Chong (CHN)
On his performance:
"My performance was normal. I cannot ensure every dive will be perfect. As my sixth dive had a higher DD, I was a bit tired and nervous, and couldn't pull it off well."
On the spectators:
"There were far more spectators than yesterday, which made me excited but added a lot of pressure."
On the morning events:
"Morning events are the hardest. As we begin training in the early morning and the venue needs time to heat up, the temperature was low and I still felt the effects of yesterday's competition. I think the temperature will rise later."
Qin Kai (CHN)
On his performance:
"My performance was average. There is still room for improvement."
On his expectations for the final:
"I was the world champion last year, but I don't think this guarantees me the gold medal."
Constantin Blaha (AUT)
On his performance:
"I'm very happy and satisfied with my performance today. I am also happy I qualified for the Olympic Games."
On his expectation for the 2008 Olympic Games:
"I will attempt more difficult dives during the Olympic Games."
